Healing Through Self-Love

We all want our kids to understand self-love as the key to a happy and meaningful life.

When I founded Successful Kids Revolution my mission began as a means to support parents, teachers and youth practitioners with teachings, tools, resources and programs for the kids they love.

In my own search for healing and my commitment to being the most loving mother I could be, I've learned that the only thing that is real is love.

I've stumbled lots, missing the mark on many things when it came to healing my own pain because I never really understood self-love.

Our children are showing us through their struggles that it is time for each of us to step-up to the plate and be a leader and healer by opening up our hearts. But it has to start with self-love.

You don't need to be an expert in anything to be a healer. You don't need to hold any degrees or outside knowledge to know what your heart knows.

For those reading this now, you are being called to open your heart to heal humanity. The blessings you offer to humanity become the blessings you give yourself. The blessings you give to yourself become the blessings for those you love.

You may have tried to solve your problems with your mind and have had some level of success. But it’s not until you engage your sacred heart that you will truly invite blessings into your life.

It’s easy to understand love when we connect with our children but the thing that prevents us from being able to offer unconditional love in all moments is not allowing that unconditional love for ourselves.

The only true healing energy is love and it starts with you.

Here are 3 ways to allow self-love in your life

1. Stop devaluing yourself with criticism, judgment and negative self-talk. We are our own worst enemies. We cut ourselves down by telling ourselves all the ways we did something wrong, why we aren’t good enough, smart enough, qualified enough and so on.

Stop it right now. You won’t be able to help your kids with their pain until you fully accept yourself as worthy of your own compassion and self-love. They will reflect back to you the self-love and compassion you allow for yourself.

2. Ask your Higher Self to work with you. Write a letter to your Higher Self, stating your commitment to opening up to move Divine Love. In your love letter to your Higher Self, state your commitment to being led through your Sacred Heart and living in alignment with your Higher Self.

3. Be Patient. Trust that it’s a journey that unfolds one step at a time. You will have challenges come up as you let go of old patterns and that is TOTALLY NORMAL.

The important thing to remember is that you are always safe to go back into that heart space where you will heal deeper. The love begins to expand the love each time you come back to your intention to grow and share your love with yourself and others.

Keep moving forward. You got this!
